Multi-platinum selling, Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Geoff Tate is best known for his 30-plus years as the creative and driving force behind the progressive metal band Queensryche. Since its inception with Geoff at the helm, Queensryche has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and has performed in upwards of fifty countries. Geoff is regarded as one of the most skilled vocalists in the genre with hundreds of modern, popular artists citing him and his former band as a major influence. Combining social consciousness and expertly crafted lyrics with high-energy, melodically complex music, Queensryche with Geoff Tate at the forefront became internationally recognized as the thinking man’s rock band. The band’s first three albums — their self-titled EP (1983), The Warning (1984) and Rage for Order (1986) — all hit gold status selling over 500,000 units each.
Beginning in March 2025, Geoff and the current line-up of Operation: Mindcrime, hit the road to celebrate the final chapter of Operation: Mindcrime, performing the 1988 landmark concept album from beginning to end in its entirety… It’s a show that Geoff loves to perform and fans love to see, only proving that good music never goes out of style. As always, Geoff looks forward to the musical journey that lies ahead and can’t wait to perform his next big rock show.
Opening Act: Indio Downey
Indio Falconer Downey, born on September 7, 1993, in Los Angeles, California, is an American musician recognized for his contributions to the alternative rock scene. Indio was introduced to music at an early age, receiving his first guitar at twelve.
In the early 2010s, Indio co-founded the rock duo The Dose with drummer Ralph Alexander, serving as the guitarist and vocalist. The band released singles such as “Cold Hands” and “Vervain,” which garnered attention for their grunge-inspired sound. “Vervain” achieved notable success, reaching the #1 position on Rock VF’s Top Songs chart.
The Dose also embarked on a successful tour, performing alongside prominent bands like Good Charlotte, Sleeping With Sirens, and Knuckle Puck during the Generation Rx Tour in 2018. They played at various venues across North America, including the Riviera Theatre in Chicago and the Fillmore Detroit. In 2022, Indio embarked on a solo career, debuting with the single “Headspace.” He continued to build his solo repertoire with tracks such as “Runaway” and “Plastic Rainbow,” the latter addressing themes of addiction and self-reflection. His music blends elements of classic rock, ’90s pop, and grunge, reflecting influences from bands like Led Zeppelin and Nirvana.
Indio’s debut solo EP, “Cigarettes in Bed,” was released on January 19, 2024. The lead single, “Dume,” delves into his past struggles with addiction, offering listeners an intimate look into his personal journey. Celebrating over 18 months of sobriety, Indio continues to use his music as a means of healing and expression, solidifying his place in the alternative rock landscape.
