Unified Theatre is a program for students with or without disabilities to create and act in their own plays! Students will explore how to create characters and storylines for their productions while learning how to incorporate production elements like costumes and props. The class is taught by Christopher Tomaino, an actor, director, coach and teaching artist in the Monmouth County, New Jersey area. For the past 10 years, Mr Tomaino has been working in conjunction with the Count Basie Center for the Arts and the Arc of Monmouth, creating specialized programs for participants in their TAZ program. Mr Tomaino is also the director of Arc’s Broadcast Club, a performance-based club, creating performance opportunities for its members.
