Pearl Jam’s Let’s Play Two documentary set to screen at the Basie; director Danny Clinch on board for post-event Q&A October 4

(RED BANK – SEPT. 21) Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Pearl Jam will unleash the documentary film Let’s Play Two in early October — and the Count Basie Theatre will proudly be part of the celebration.

An area exclusive, the Basie screens Let’s Play Two on Tuesday, October 3 as part of the film’s national theatrical release. The next night, October 4, Let’s Play Two returns for a second Basie screening, with the movie’s director and Toms River native Danny Clinch on hand for an exclusive post-show Q&A.

Tickets to both screenings are $10 and on sale now through theBASIE.org, 732-842-9000 and the Basie box office, located at 99 Monmouth Street, Red Bank. Members of the Basie’s Cinema Society can attend either screening free of charge.

“In my films and photographs, I love to explore the relationship between a band, their fans and the location,” Clinch said in a recent press release. “When it happens that the main characters of your film are Pearl Jam, the Chicago Cubs, their fans, and Wrigley Field during a historic moment, you know it’s going to be epic. Our instincts were correct to follow the story and it took us to a historic Game 7 of the World Series ending a 108 year drought for the Cubs. I have learned to welcome the unexpected and it always pays off if you’re ready for it.”

Let’s Play Two is produced by Monkeywrench Productions, Tourgigs Productions, Universal Music Publishing Group, Republic Records, FOX Sports and Major League Baseball in collaboration with Milkt Films and Polygram Entertainment.
