RegisterThis class introduces students to the foundational skills needed to perform in a small jazz combo, using contemporary and cross-genre music as a creative entry point. Designed with pre-teens in mind, the course offers a fun and engaging approach to learning core jazz concepts such as rhythm, harmony, and improvisation. By working with familiar musical styles, students will explore how jazz techniques can be applied to interpret and support a wide range of modern repertoire. The result is a dynamic learning experience that bridges musical eras while encouraging collaboration and creative expression.
