Come and and meet the powerful individuals, who were newspaper publishers, journalists, didactic thinkers, courageous writers, and skilled photographers. Collectively, they were known as the Black Press and as a cadre of political activists, they organized and fought to be recognized and respected as a race of people, and to gain economic justice. They held America accountable to its democratic principles of liberty and justice, for all people.
