Brookdale Community College Student Life Center • 765 Newman Springs Rd, Lincroft
You are invited to Brookdale Community College (Student Life Center/Twin Lights II), where T. Thomas Fortune Center Executive Director Gilda Rogers will be in conversation with Caroline Hunter-Williams, an anti-apartheid activist who used her voice to set-off the chain of events that led to American Corporations financially divesting from South Africa. Her fascinating story, as a newly employed chemist in 1970 at the Polaroid Corporation, is proof positive that it takes only one voice. Her activism led to the dismantling of apartheid and the rise of South African President Nelson Mandela.
