(20 DE ABRIL \u2013 BANCO ROJO)<\/strong> La Academia de Artes Esc\u00e9nicas del Teatro Count Basie anunci\u00f3 hoy una residencia de verano con el famoso director de la \u00d3pera de Los \u00c1ngeles, Eli Villanueva, en un programa de campamento de \u00f3pera de verano para vocalistas de 10 a 17 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

El intensivo de dos semanas, abierto a estudiantes de todo tipo vocal, culmina con un par de actuaciones de Brund\u00edbar<\/em>, la famosa \u00f3pera infantil representada originalmente en el campo de concentraci\u00f3n de Theresientadt en la Checoslovaquia ocupada. Habr\u00e1 becas basadas en las necesidades disponibles para aquellos estudiantes que califiquen.<\/p>\n

Las presentaciones p\u00fablicas se llevar\u00e1n a cabo el s\u00e1bado 19 de agosto en el Teatro Count Basie, Red Bank y el domingo 20 de agosto en el Centro para las Artes Jay y Linda Grunin, ubicado en el campus de Ocean County College en Toms River. Brund\u00edbar<\/em>, del compositor jud\u00edo checo Hans Kr.a<\/em>sa, cuenta la historia de un hermano y una hermana que unen fuerzas con un gorri\u00f3n, un gato y un perro para burlar a un malvado organillero llamado Brundibar. Brund\u00edbar<\/em> Fue representada por los ni\u00f1os del campo de concentraci\u00f3n de Theresienstadt, en la Checoslovaquia ocupada, y desde entonces se ha representado en todo el mundo para simbolizar la dif\u00edcil situaci\u00f3n de las personas que unen fuerzas para luchar contra situaciones intolerables. A Villanueva se unir\u00e1 el director musical Jason Tramm, profesor asistente y director de actividades corales en la Universidad Seton Hall.<\/p>\n
