Sanford Meisner developed the technique that still bears his name, which involves structured, improvisational exercises that build on each other to bring the actor to a more instinctive performance level. Following his approach, this course includes exercises in active listening and interaction, independent activities, character analysis, and scene work, which collectively shape a more layered performance.

Participation in this offering fills a prerequisite for students to attend TVT3’s Prime Time TV & Film Actor’s Showcase, in which selected students perform scenes for industry agents, managers, and other guests.
