July 24 - 28
9:30am - 3:30pm
Join us for our week-long AWARD WINNING summer intensive Jazz studies session for aspiring teen musicians. The curriculum includes:
● Instruction from world-class professional musicians
● Visiting clinicians and masterclasses
● Jazz ensemble training (Combos & Big Band)
● Personalized instruction
● Music theory and improvisation training
● Listening sessions
● Performance opportunities
The session will culminate with student showcase performances at a local venue alongside accomplished, professional jazz artists.
Beginners will receive the guidance and instruction necessary for a positive introduction to jazz, while advanced students will have opportunities to play with professional musicians and other advanced students.
Student placement will be determined by performance evaluation. Students must have three years of instrumental experience, know at least three major scales, be able to read printed music and understand basic rhythms.
Needs-based tuition assistance is available. Please apply early, as these opportunities are limited. Reach out to Zach Lorelli at [email protected] or Kiki Rausch at [email protected] for more information.
