No prior experience necessary!

Community theatre company Phoenix Productions has performed at the Count Basie Center for over 30 years. Now officially part of the Basie Center family, Phoenix proudly offers junior production experience classes, which allow students to develop and strengthen their “triple threat” skills. Placement auditions are held on the first day of the session. The experience culminates in a final performance.

As stated on Music Theatre International’s website, “Dear Edwina JR. is a heartwarming musical about the joys of growing up, from the creators of Junie B. Jones, The Musical. Written in a “show-within-a-show” format, Dear Edwina JR. is the perfect “girl power” musical for a new generation.”
