This introductory group class is designed for young musicians with little to no prior experience. Inspired by the spirit of our namesake and jazz giant Count Basie, the course connects foundational music theory with the core principles of music improvisation in a fun and collaborative setting. Students will explore both vocal techniques and instrumental play, building essential skills while learning how music functions within an ensemble. Through creative exercises and group interaction, participants will gain confidence in their musical expression and develop a solid foundation for future study.
