Open to student brass, woodwind, and percussion musicians!
*Students must provide their own instruments
Offering a week-long program for beginning and intermediate players with Mr. John Luckenbill, Instructor for the Monmouth Conservatory and Instrumental Music Teacher and Talented Theme Magnet Program Team Leader for Long Branch Public Schools.
Instruction will include:
- Developing Music Fundamentals
- Increasing Technique on your Instrument
- Basic Music Theory
- Tone Production
- Music Vocabulary and Literacy
- Solo performance skills
- Audition tips
- Improve your Sight Reading
Session 1: Elementary Level, 9:00am- 9:45am daily
Open to students entering grades 4-5 with at least 6 months to 1 year of experience on their instrument.
Session 2: Elementary Level, 10:00am- 10:45am daily
Open to students grades 4-5 with at least 1 -2 years of experience on their instrument.
Session 3: Advanced Level 11:00am- 11:45am daily
Open to all band musicians entering grades 6-9 with at least 2-3 years of experience on their instrument.
$100/week

Basie’s Monmouth Conservatory of Music, 65 Chestnut St.
While not required, the Count Basie Center Academy of the Arts strongly encourages students to wear masks while on premises.*
