The Summer Theory and Composition course is an introduction to the analytical side of music, as well as an opportunity to explore the craft of music composition. This course is designed for the performer with fluent sight-reading skills and can be well utilized by high school students wishing to prepare for the AP Music Theory curriculum, plus instrumentalists of any age who have an interest in writing their own music. The course structure involves purchasing an affordable textbook, as well as completing short, weekly assignments to be reviewed at the beginning of each class..
